Privacy.

This notice explains what turno. collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

When you send an enquiry

We collect the name, email address, phone number (if you give one), the kind of help you need and your message. We use them only to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to run the project.

We send you one confirmation email. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Spam and abuse protection

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending it. Your IP address is used briefly to limit how often the form can be sent. It is not stored with your enquiry.

To avoid sending you duplicate confirmations, we keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your email address for 24 hours. It cannot be turned back into your address.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser and does not receive your enquiry details. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see how quickly our pages load. It does not set cookies, does not track you across visits and does not receive your enquiry details.

Who else handles your information

Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the spam check. Resend delivers our emails from servers in Japan and the United States and keeps delivery logs for up to 30 days. Your enquiry arrives in our email accounts at Google (Gmail) and Microsoft (Outlook). Google and Cloudflare provide the analytics.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept as business records for as long as they are useful, and deleted when they are not. The hashed email address is deleted after 24 hours.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Contact us through the details on our contact page and we will respond within 20 working days. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
